Oscilloscope – In Person Training

This course is being offered as an add-on seminar for the 2024 Super Saturday event and does carry a separate registration fee. The registration fee for this 8-hour class is only $249 through September 30, 2024. Then the price goes up to $299. Please note the registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

This class will begin with 4 hours of classroom instruction covering the diagnostic process, scan tool setup and data collection, navigation, tips, tricks and more. The classroom portion will also focus heavily on the navigation and setup of the Topdon Oscilloscope. Scope training will focus on "getting the waveform on the screen" as well as review and explanation of a number of common and highly used Oscilloscope tests that will aid the technician in the bay every day. Use of current probes/amp clamps, pressure transducers, pulse sensors, ignition probes, and other score accessories will be discussed.

We will break for lunch after the classroom portion of our training class.

The second half of the class will consist of 4 hours of hands-on practice of scope and scan tool techniques. Students will be able to set up testing on different vehicle applications and get more comfortable with the "how" as well as see the characteristics of what a healthy vehicle looks like (both scan data and scope waveforms). Hands-on practice of common every day tests a diagnostics technician can leverage will be performed by the students.

Attendees of this 8-hour class can expect to be much more proficient with their Topdon Oscilloscope and Professional Series Scan Tools upon completion of this course.
