This class will explore personnel development and management considerations from a systemic, interpersonal lens. Participants will learn how to conceptualize the human elements of their business as a system that they both participate in and influence. This will include a discussion on how systemic issues influence human performance, how to assess employee functioning in the context of their business, how to create and implement an employee development plan, and addressing common employee development issues. This class will contain both didactic and experiential components. Participants should come prepared to reflect on the strengths and possible growth areas of their style of management, the strengths and possible growth areas of their employees, and be willing to ask questions and participate in class discussions of these topics.
